In 2023, ** percent of female internet users in Brazil said they had sent voice messages or made video calls, up from ** percent of women surveyed five years before. Meanwhile, ** percent of surveyed male internet users stated that they had sent voice messages or made video calls during this year. Likewise, online instant messaging is slightly more common among women than men in Brazil.
