Private labels in India - statistics & facts
So called 鈥減rivate labels鈥 are products, manufactured by a company and sold under the retailer鈥檚 name. Those private label products, which are sold only in specific stores of a chain are also called 鈥渟tore brands鈥, 鈥渙wn brands鈥, or 鈥渉ome brands鈥. Globally, the private label retail market is widely shattered. While Europe recorded shares of private labels in the retail market of as much as 30 percent, the APAC region had a share of only about four percent.
