Physicians with more than one specialization were counted as a specialist in each field they are authorized to practice.

In 2024, the number of licensed nutrologists in Brazil reached around doctors, down from about physicians reported two years prior. This figure had been increasing since the beginning of the period analyzed, when nutrition specialist doctors reached approximately physicians in Brazil. Nutrology is a medical field concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of metabolic or nutritional diseases.
