In 2024, the number of licensed rheumatologists in Brazil amounted to around professionals, up from about specialists reported two years prior. This figure doubled compared to 2013, when physicians specializing in rheumatology added up to in Brazil. Rheumatology is a medical field focused on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system, such as arthritis, osteoporosis, or autoimmune diseases.
