The LTD (Loan-to-Deposit ratio) is the financial ratio that measures the liquidity of a bank through the ratio of the funds it has in its deposits to the volume of loans granted to customers. A low LTD ratio indicates a good degree of liquidity that allows banks to respond to requests for reimbursement from their customers.

The loan-to-deposit (LTD) ratio of the Spanish banking system decreased considerably between 2015 and 2024. In 2024, the ratio between credits and deposits of Spanish banks stood at 98.54 percent, over 23 percentage points less than in 2015. The Spanish banking industry reached its best degree of liquidity in 2024.
