No lanugage barier 

India’s print industry remains highly localized, with many proprietor run publishers serving regional markets in multiple languages. In 2025, print advertising revenues totaled about 179.3 billion rupees and are projected to rise modestly to roughly 188.9 billion rupees by 2028. This gradual recovery reflects print’s enduring appeal among affluent, harder to reach audiences, while 2025 survey data show that around 56 percent of respondents still use daily newspapers, alongside books and magazines.

Print still strong in India

°Â³ó¾±±ô±ðÌýnewspaper industries are shrinking in many countries, this trend has not fully reached India, where print remains a major pillar alongside television and digital media. Newspaper revenues have risen sharply, making India one of the largest markets for print publishing worldwide, and the number of titles has grown from a few hundred dailies after independence to over 146,000 registered newspapers and periodicals by 2023.
