Typically, nearly one-third of occasional visitors reported having visited museums and exhibitions within their region. Similarly, one-third of occasional visitors had visited museums during their trips or travels.

One in five French people made cultural visits to museums both in their region and during their trips or travels. Occasional visitors, meaning those who made one or two visits in the year, represented 22 percent of the people surveyed in 2018.
