Do the French living in large urban areas visit more museums and exhibitions? According to this survey, the size of the urban area had an impact on the frequency of visits to these places in 2018.

We observe that one in two residents of the Paris urban area visited a museum or an exhibition during the year. Residents of cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants were 43 percent to frequent these cultural places, while 29 percent of residents of rural communities had visited a museum or a temporary exhibition.
