Brand value: additional information
A brand is an important asset for any company. It often takes the form of a name or logo used to identify and distinguish a company鈥檚 product from others. The success of a brand can be determined in various ways, such as monetary value, customer awareness, and customer trust. Customer experience with a brand can have a lasting effect on its reputation. Consumer experience can be evaluated based on the simplicity or complexity of its products, services, interactions, and communications. In November 2014, more than * consumers were surveyed about their experience, and the top brands were ranked according to the simplicity of the experience. The results showed that Zappos.com, the online clothing retailer, provided the simplest experience to consumers, scoring the highest simplicity score of ***. Other highly ranked brands included Amazon, Subway, and Pizza Hut. Strategies are often implemented to establish and maintain beneficial relationships between a brand and its customers. In spring 2014, American consumers were surveyed to verify the measures of building a relationship between a brand and consumers that they found important. This survey revealed that ** percent of respondents indicated that rewarding loyal customers was important, and an additional ** percent indicated that offers and promotions were important in establishing a relationship. Advertising is a key component regarding public interaction, awareness, and perception of a brand, and significant budgets are often invested to ensure that a brand鈥檚 advertisements are successful. In a global survey conducted among Internet users in September and October 2013, the influence of advertising was assessed by asking the question: 鈥淎re you likely to buy products from brands that advertise heavily?鈥 Among those who answered yes, China had the highest share with ** percent of respondents. In comparison, only ** percent of respondents in the United States answered yes.
