Peru: opinion on the advancement of presidential elections in 2023
The Congress of Peru has rejected advancing the elections to 2024 on five occasions. This issue angers Peruvians, who in mid-July resumed protests demanding the resignation of the Peruvian president, Dina Boluarte. Not surprisingly, more than 80 percent of the population wants the general elections to be moved up.
