According to a survey in 2024, women between the ages of 51 and 55 years rated menopause-related symptoms as the most severe*. What is surprising is that even though the average onset of perimenopause is 43 years, over 55 percent of women between 30 and 35 years were already experiencing moderate to severe symptoms of menopause/perimenopause. Some common symptoms of menopause include hot flashes, night sweats, and weight gain.
