Women who felt pressure to alter their looks due to social media worldwide 2023
According to a survey carried out in 20 countries in 2023, roughly a of women responded that they felt pressure to alter their appearance due to images of influencers they see on social media. This is especially true for women in China and India, while less so for women in Argentina and the Netherlands. What is more, even more women believed that influencers on social media create pressure to use cosmetic procedures to change appearance.
