According to a survey conducted among Italian users and published in June 2024, seven in 10 Gen Z respondents reported social media made them feel aware of what is going on around them. For 63 percent of millennials, engaging with social media was a way to entertain themselves and to pass the time without too much thought. Additionally, almost three in 10 Italian Baby Boomers and users from the silent generation reported it made them feel pessimistic.
