In March 2024, there were approximately 39 million social media users in Italy. This represented an increase from the 38.4 million social media users registered the previous year, in March 2023. By comparison, news and general information websites saw their audience decrease to 37.5 million users in March 2024, down from the 38.3 million users recorded during the previous year.
