This survey was conducted in 21 countries with between 500 and 1000 respondents from each country.Â
The "Global Country Average" refers to the average result for all the selected countries where the survey was conducted, and it has not been adjusted to reflect the population size of each country.
According to a global online survey conducted 2022, 31 percent of respondents agreed that social media companies behave responsibly, which is an increase from the 24 percent of people who thought so the previous year. However, a growing share of people also agreed that social networking companies would take advantage of them if they could, with more than half of respondents agreeing with the statement in 2022 compared to 47 percent of people in 2021.
