In a survey on Christmas conducted in 2021, South African respondents reported that price and speed of delivery were the most important factors in the purchase of a Christmas gift online. Moreover, the quality of the product and the assurance that it would arrive before Christmas followed, with rates reaching 63 percent and 54 percent, respectively. In the same year, 48 percent of the respondents in the country claimed that they had bought a Christmas present during Black Friday promotions.
