Clothing was the leading product category which Canadians planned to gift to themselves during the holiday season according to a survey carried out in October 2019 - some ** percent of respondents stated that they expected to buy clothing as a gift for themselves during this period. Restaurant meals and books were the next two most popular categories which consumers planned to buy for themselves during the holiday shopping season.
