According to an April 2021 survey of consumers the United States and in the United Kingdom, restaurants reviews are the most searched items on crowd-sourced review websites, with 41 percent of respondents in the U.S. and 22 percent of respondents in the UK declaring they researched restaurants on these platforms in the previous year. Almost five in ten respondents in the UK reported not having used crowd-sourced review websites at all during the previous year, which is largely due to social distancing measures during the global COVID-19 outbreak.
