According to a survey conducted in 2024 in Japan, small and mid-size enterprises (SMEs) were more likely to sell over e-commerce channels than large firms. While the largest share of SMEs, around ** percent, had no plans to implement online sales for their businesses, **** percent intended to expand the dimension of their current e-commerce sales. In contrast, only *** percent were planning a reduction of their sales activities.
