As of January 2021, 44 percent of Norwegian parents reported that their child had played more computer games during the coronavirus pandemic compared to before. Only five percent of interviewed adults stated that their child spent less time on online games.
The social isolation during the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in an increase in video game interest among the youth.
