As of January 2021, 21 percent of Norwegian parents reported that the increased amount of time their child spent on computer games during the coronavirus pandemic had had a negative effect on the child. In contrast, 28 percent of adults felt it had a positive effect.
The social isolation during the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in an increase in video game interest among the youth.
