A survey conducted in August 2022 among gamers in the United States found that approximately six in 10 respondents used YouTube in relation to gaming or gaming content. Facebook was the second most popular social media platform to use in regard to gaming content or activities. VoIP and communication channel Discord was reportedly used by around 40 percent of respondents, while Reddit was used by 23 percent of respondents.
