All Canadian retail sectors experienced a surge in e-commerce sales between February and April 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Online sales of furniture and home furnishings stores grew by almost *** percent, making it the fastest growing online retail sector during that time period. In-store sales declined in all sectors apart from food and beverage, which experienced a sales growth of just over percent.
