The impact of the coronavirus pandemic on global media device usage varied according to age group, according to a survey held in March 2020, which revealed that ** percent of Gen Z internet users had used their laptop more since the start of the outbreak, compared to just ** percent of Boomers. Interestingly, PC and desktop usage remained largely the same across all generations, whilst Gen Z and Gen X were the most likely to be using their smartphone or mobile phone more regularly.
