According to two surveys held in March 2020, consumers of all ages were likely to spend more on movie or television streaming services as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, particularly Millennials, ** percent of whom said in mid-March that they would do so. This figure is up by ** percent from the results gathered in a similar survey which asked consumers the same question earlier in the month. It is worth noting that the WHO's announcement on March 11, 2020 declaring the coronavirus a pandemic occurred between these two surveys, and as more and more individuals choose to self-isolate and media events have been canceled, SVoD consumption and spending could increase further as consumers turn to platforms which allow them to enjoy entertainment from their own homes.
