The majority of respondents to a 2022 survey across the ** European Union member states said they thought false news was a problem for their country (** percent). However, the figures differ considerably from country to country. Whereas ** percent of respondents in Greece and ** percent in Malta believe false news is a problem in their country, only about half of Finnish respondents felt the same.
