In a survey conducted in the third quarter of 2025, it was found that 55 percent of NFL fans in the United States classed themselves as avid fans, while 45 percent said they were casual fans. This was the highest rate of dedicated fans among the leading U.S. sports leagues. Unsurpsingly, the NFL is also the most watched sports league in the U.S., with over 40 percent of U.S. adults saying they either watched or planned to watch NFL games in the first quarter of 2025.
