Whether you are looking for a TV, using a video game console, listening to a song, or watching a movie, the company name Sony will most likely come up. Headquartered in the Minato district of Tokyo, Sony is a well-established multinational corporation. The company generated almost 87 billion U.S. dollars in鈥total annual revenue鈥痠n 2023. Around one third of Sony鈥檚 income comes from its鈥game and network segment, which includes the company鈥檚 prominent line of gaming consoles. Other products and services include TVs, cameras, semiconductors, as well as music and motion pictures. In 2022, Sony鈥檚 CEO Kenchiro Yoshida announced the commercial launch of Sony鈥檚 second EV, the Vision-02, a 7-seat SUV that features 40 sensors, home entertainment technologies, and鈥5G connectivity. This announcement coincided with the creation of Sony Mobility Inc., a new company that will focus on electric cars 鈥 a trend seen in other non-traditional car makers but established tech companies, such as Amazon and Alibaba. In the future, Sony will continue expanding their horizons and entering new markets to stay at the top of the competitive tech industry.
