Amazon Prime Day has become an essential shopping event in the United States. During a June 2021 survey conducted among Amazon Prime members, about six percent reported planning to purchase something during that edition of Prime Day, and already had an idea of what they wanted. However, nearly two-thirds (63 percent) of those surveyed said they had no intention of making a purchase during the online shopping event. Four years later, only 46 percent of U.S. shoppers did not intend to shop during Prime Days.
