Over ** percent of the respondents to a survey, conducted that year, bought goods from China, while ** percent purchased from the United Kingdom. Among the other popular e-commerce markets’ countries were the United States, Germany and Sweden. As of 2017, within the Nordic countries, it was most common for Finns to purchase from foreign web-shops. In contrast, foreign web-shops were least popular among Swedes that year.

 Product categories 

      The clothing and footwear category had the highest share of Nordic online shoppers, purchasing such products from abroad in 2018. Home electronics were bought by approximately ** percent of the respondents from Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

 How do they pay?  

      The most popular payment method for online purchases in the Nordics was by debit or credit card in 2018. Invoice payment followed, as well as PayPal and direct bank payment. Only *** percent of the respondents reported to have paid by Cash on Delivery.
