On September 25, 2022, the Italian parliamentary elections took place. 200 senators and 400 deputies were elected. This statistic shows the share of citizens who voted in the legislative elections, according to the political party they voted for. The party that won the most votes is "Fratelli d'Italia" (Brothers of Italy), a party considered far-right and neo-fascist. This party has been led by Giorgia MELONI since 2014. Having obtained 26 percent of the votes, it cannot govern alone. It therefore allied with three other political parties: Forza Italia, BERLUSCONI's party, which obtained 8 percent of the votes, as well as Lega, which obtained 8 percent of the votes, and Noi Moderati with almost 1 percent of the votes. Together, the four parties obtained almost 44 percent of the votes.

The parties that allied on the left side of the political spectrum had only a total of 26 percent of the votes from Italians. These were the "Partito Democratico," the second political party with the most votes, with 19 percent of the votes, and three other political parties that each obtained less than 5 percent of the votes. These parties will likely form the opposition in the Italian parliament.
The Five Star Movement obtained 15 percent of the votes.
