The Portuguese elections took place on March 10, 2024, with the aim of renewing the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal for four years. However, following a scandal that affected the Portuguese government, early elections were held as soon as May 18, 2025. The party that received the most votes in both elections was the Democratic Alliance coalition. In third place was the far-right party Chega, which gained popularity within a year.
