Latin America: Distance Education Formats During the 2020 Lockdown
Amid school closures—one of the social distancing measures implemented by local governments to limit the spread of COVID-19—countries in Latin America and the Caribbean chose different formats to ensure distance education. According to a survey conducted between May and June 2020, ** percent of the ** countries studied in the region had chosen the internet as one of the formats used to provide educational information to their students. The second most popular option was paper, used by ** percent of the surveyed countries.
