In the months following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, online education had taken on unprecedented importance in the global education system. In the university sector, the number of students attending online classes increased significantly in Mexico. However, according to a survey conducted among Mexican university students in 2020, only ** percent of students surveyed at private universities, and ** percent of those attending public universities, had a computer or tablet at home.
