The source defines purchase intent clicks as the amount of times a consumer has clicked through to a minimum of one retailer during one session.
In order to understand digital shopping behavior, key e-commerce performance indicators were collected across hundreds of brands and over 250 channels, as well as more than 4,000 retailer integrations.

In the United States, Walmart was the top online retailer for over-the-counter (OTC) medicine shoppers based on the share of purchase intent clicks in 2023. Amazon came in second place with a percentage of ****, followed by Target with **** percent. Purchase intent clicks refer to the number of times a consumer has clicked through to a minimum of one retailer during a single session.
