In preparation for Christmas and the holiday season in the United States in 2023, many consumers planned to buy festive decorations. By far the most popular decorative item Americans planned to buy was ornaments, with seven out of 10 U.S. consumers indicating they would purchase some during the 2023 holiday season. String lights and wreaths were also popular choices. Canadian consumers showed similar preferences in Christmas decorations that year.
