A survey conducted in December 2022 revealed that ** percent of Indians found Google reviews and ratings to be inaccurate when conducting research on a business. Meanwhile, another ** percent found these reviews to be positively biased. In response to increasing complaints about fake online reviews, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) guidelines were brought into effect in November 2022.
