The center-right party GERB received the largest share of votes in the parliamentary election in Bulgaria that took place on April 2, 2023, at approximately 26.5 percent, according to preliminary results. The coalition ±Ê±Ê–Dµþ of the parties Continuing the Change (PP) and Democratic Bulgaria (DB) ranked second, having gained around 24.6 percent of the votes. The third place was occupied by Revival, a nationalist party. This was Bulgaria's fifth parliamentary election over the past two years. The country has been facing political instability because no majority government could be formed.
