WhatsApp Pay is a feature that users in the markets of Brazil and India can use to transfer money to their contacts or receive money in their bank accounts. In February 2018, WhatsApp Payr was released as a beta version in India, with an addressable market of one million users. In November 2020, the platform received permission to launch the service to 20 million Indian users in total. In April 2022, WhatsApp pay was allowed by the country's regulator to reach a total of 100 million users.
