A survey conducted in the third quarter of 2024 found that around 56.3 percent of internet users in Argentina used social media to stay in touch with friends and family. Reading news stories was the second main reason for using social media for about 49.7 percent of the respondents. Filling up spare time and finding content like videos were important reasons for 44.2 and 40 percent of social media users, respectively.
