The original questions was phrased as follows: "Si las elecciones para Presidente de Colombia fueran el próximo domingo, y los candidatos fueran los que le voy a leer, ¿por cuál de ellos votaría usted?" (If the elections for President of Colombia were next Sunday, and the candidates were the ones I am going to read to you, which of them would you vote for?)

Citation formats

According to a survey carried out one month before the presidential elections in Colombia in 2022, the majority of respondents who claimed affinity to the political left, ** percent, stated they would vote for Gustavo Petro. Petro was also the most popular candidate among those with no political affinity (**** percent) and Colombians who positioned themelves in the center (**** percent). In both urban and rural areas, Gustavo Pedro had also the lead, as well as being the most preferred candidate by both men and women.
On the other hand, Federico Gutiérrez led in voting intention among conservative voters. Rodolfo Hernández, former major of Bucaramanga and independent candidate, gathered most sympathy in the conservative spectrum and the center, with **** and **** percent of intention vote, respectively.
