Young working population with skills mismatches in Africa 2019, by gender
Up to almost half of the young African workforce considered having mismatching skills for their correspondent jobs in a survey conducted in 2019. Roughly ** percent of the young male working population in Africa were underskilled, compared to around ** percent of the young female workforce. On the other hand, over ** percent of young females had more skills than required, while ** percent of young males considered themselves overskilled for their jobs.
