The source defines labor force as comprising "all persons of working age who furnish the supply of labor for the production of goods and services during a specified time-reference period. It refers to the sum of all persons of working age who are employed and those who are unemployed".
In 2022, the labor force in sub-Saharan Africa added up to over 450 million people. On the other hand, the count in North Africa stood at 75 million individuals.
