After the Green wave that swept across France during the 2020 municipal elections, and the arrival of ecologists in the municipal councils of major cities such as Bordeaux, Strasbourg, or Lyon, Yannick Jadot, EELV European deputy, estimated that Ecologie owed its victory, in part, to its ability to unite diverse left-wing groups.
Yet, in terms of public opinion, it appears that most left-wing and Emmanuel Macron's party voters perceive the ideas and program of Europe Ecologie - Les Verts as rather, or even very close. Right-wing voters were less numerous, overall, to perceive this proximity, but more to find these ideas and programs very close (** percent of Les Républicains voters).
