In France, the second round of regional elections took place on Sunday, June 27, 2021, and there is a wide variety in voting trends between different age groups. The largest number of left-wing voters were those under 34 (40 percent), while nearly half of those over 65 voted for the right-wing coalition. More than a quarter of people aged 50-64 voted for the Rassemblement National.
However, these results do not give a full picture of the political atmosphere among the French public, as roughly two thirds of eligible voters did not vote.
