The current health crisis is likely to have had various consequences on the purchasing behaviors and habits of people in France. The purchase of Christmas gifts is no exception, and it seems that this year, Christmas shopping is taking a different turn than in previous years. And indeed, by mid-November 2020, a little less than 20 percent of French people reported being ahead in preparing and buying their Christmas gifts, compared to the previous year. Most of them had made their purchases prior to reconfinement.
