To calculate the evolution rate, the source compared the numbers for the different periods mentioned above, to the numbers from February 17 to 23, 2019.

2020 has proven to be a peculiar time for humankind. With the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, most governments decided to enforce a lockdown as a means to slow down the pandemic. In France, it lasted ** days and had an impact on many people's daily activities.
Regarding food shopping, the periods before and during the lockdown recorded a significant increase in the purchase of basic foods, with a ***% growth in the volume of flour bought during the lockdown.
