In a survey of 398 healthcare professionals, 63 percent of respondents stated that new patients received the same treatment prescription after a telemedicine appointment as they would have in-person. This statistic shows the treatment outcomes of telemedicine compared to in-person appointments in the U.S. since the COVID-19 pandemic by patient type, as of April 2020. There is a tendency that physicians prescribe other treatments when viewing a patient per video call than when seeing them in-person.
