As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, patients in the U.S. who lived in areas that had the lowest share of citizens living under the poverty line had the highest rise in the use of telemedicine healthcare services. In the quartile with the lowest level of poverty, telemedicine use was *** per 10,000 prior to the pandemic, while the rate increased per 10,000 after the outbreak of COVID-19.
