According to a survey conducted in Spain in May 2021, the main reason for making use of teleconsultation services as indicated by ** percent of respondents was because it was the only available option. Other reasons for using teleconsultation services mentioned by a third of people taking part in the survey included avoiding exposure to possible contagions and that the problem did not require an in-person appointment. Based on the same survey, the main reason for consulting a doctor in person was that patients prefer talking to the physician face-to-face.
